In class today my group and I continued editing our film. For the remainder of our lessons until our film is due we will be editing our film. We are mostly done with the filming, we only need one more scene which we are filming tomorrow. However, we have a lot of editing to do. Since we can only edit when we are at school we are using our lunches and class times to finish the editing. One problem we have run into is that our film is extremely long. The maximum is 7 minutes, and we are 3/4 through editing and we have 8 minutes. We will have to make a few cuts to make the 7 minute mark, however our main goal right now is to finish fine editing everything. We are then going to work on audio, then sound effects and finally special effects. We definitely are not near finishing, but I am glad filming is mostly done. This film has been incredibly hard to make, so seeing it come together in editing is very rewarding. It has made the long days of filming worth it. I can't wait until we can watch the final product back. This project is much more challenging than the western, since we had multiple filming locations and have special effects. Although, I think that this film is more interesting because of those extra factors. One large thing we still have to do is add in the audio, since this is a musical. Sometimes I think my group and I forget we are making a musical since our film is so different. This film is requiring a lot of hard work, but I believe it will all be worth it in the end. Below you will find some photos of us editing!
Note: Reflections these days may seem very repetitive since every class we are editing!
